Grow Sheffield celebrates the cultural and creative aspects of food growing, cultivation, harvest and distribution and provides a creative vision for Sheffield's future as an urban food growing landscape.

Grow Sheffield is running a number of events and creative activities about food growing across Sheffield. There are lots of ways to get involved practically and creatively.

Grow Sheffield brings people together to exchange ideas on local food in a creative setting and encourages a positive and participatory approach to increasing the productive land in the city whether this is herbs in your window box, beans in your back yard, harvesting city apples, reclaiming brownfield sites or underused green spaces.
As the importance of growing local food growing creeps up the national agenda Grow Sheffield highlights the benefits of urban food cultivation in terms of mental and physical health, community building, local economy and wider issues of reducing carbon footprints, food miles and increasing biodiversity across the city.
Project partners: The Showroom Cinema, Sheffield Wildlife Trust, Sheffield Organic Food Initiative, Sheffield Campaign Against Climate Change and Sheffield Allotment Federation.
